Refund Policy

Simple Promise: If Tourwise doesn't help you within the first 14 days, we'll refund you fully. No questions asked.

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We want you to be completely satisfied with Tourwise. If you're not happy with the service within 14 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund.

How to request:

  • Email support@tourwise.io with subject "Refund Request"
  • Include your account email and reason (optional but helps us improve)
  • We'll process your refund within 5-7 business days

Monthly Subscriptions

Cancellation: You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your account settings or the Stripe billing portal.

Access after cancellation:

  • Your access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next month
  • Your data remains accessible during this time

Refunds:

  • Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for partial months
  • Exception: 14-day money-back guarantee applies to first payment
  • If you cancel mid-month, you keep access until the period ends (no refund for unused days)

Annual Subscriptions

Cancellation: You can cancel your annual subscription at any time.

Refunds:

  • Within first 30 days: Prorated refund for unused months minus one month usage fee
  • After 30 days: No refund, but access continues until annual period ends
  • Refunds calculated as: (Annual price ÷ 12 months) × unused months

Example: If you paid £299 for Professional Annual and cancel after 2 months:

  • Monthly value: £299 ÷ 12 = £24.92/month
  • Used: 2 months = £49.84
  • Refund: £299 - £49.84 = £249.16

Free Trial

The 14-day free trial is completely free with no credit card required. No refunds necessary as there's no charge.

Subscription Pausing

Instead of canceling, you can pause your subscription for up to 3 months (useful during touring breaks):

  • No charges during pause period
  • Data remains secure and accessible when you resume
  • Resume anytime through your billing settings

Disputed Charges

If you see a charge you don't recognize:

  1. Contact us first: Email support@tourwise.io before filing a chargeback
  2. We'll investigate and resolve legitimate issues immediately
  3. Chargebacks without prior contact may result in account suspension

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Account suspension or termination due to Terms of Service violations
  • Failure to cancel before next billing cycle
  • Change of mind after the 14-day money-back guarantee period (monthly plans)
  • Change of mind after 30 days (annual plans)
  • Technical issues on your end (device compatibility, internet connection)

Upgrades and Downgrades

Upgrading (Starter → Professional):

  • Prorated credit applied for unused portion of current plan
  • Charged difference to upgrade immediately
  • New features unlock instantly

Downgrading (Professional → Starter):

  • Change takes effect at next billing cycle
  • No refund for current period
  • Access to Professional features continues until downgrade date
  • Data exceeding new plan limits remains accessible but read-only

VAT and Taxes

Refunds include any VAT or taxes paid. You'll receive the full amount you were charged.

Processing Time

  • Refund approval: Within 1-2 business days
  • Refund to your account: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank/card issuer)
  • Confirmation email: Sent when refund is processed
